MCCI, The Mysore chamber of Commerce & Industry was formed under the Able promotion and guidance of Trade and Industry leaders of the district, five decades ago, formally established and registered under KSA 1961 in the year 1964. Over the years it has grown and enlarged itself to be the apex business organisation at the district level, serving the cause and concerns of Trade and Industry of the District for over five decades.

Currently MCCI has direct Membership strength of around 2000, Additionally 5000 Indirect Memberships drawn from 30 Affiliated Associations, with membership strengths varying from 50 to 300, thereby representing every section of business establishment, directly or indirectly through MCCI at the district level.

The business of Mysore Chamber of Commerce & Industry shall be managed by the Elected Managing Committee consisting of one President, one Vice President, one Honorary Secretary, one Honorary Joint Secretary, one Honorary Treasurer and Fifteen committee members, out of which 3 committee members are from Mofussil Talukas other than Mysore Taluk.

MCCI is represented in various committees/Forums, which have direct or indirect bearing on the development/ promotion of Industry, Trade and Business at the District Level.

  • Zonal Railway Users Consultative Committee
  • Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee. South Western Railway.
  • District Level Single Window Agency,Land/ Shed Allotment Sub-committee. DIC. Mysore.
  • Regional Advisory Committee Grievances Committee Commissionerate of Central Excise, Customs and Service Tax.

Aims and Objectives:

  1. To encourage and promote friendly relations, mutual help and co-operation, understanding and unity among the Industry, Trade, Business and Financial Institutions, so as to help development of Trade, Commerce and Industry.
  2. To promote Technical and Commercial education to the Industry and Trade through publication of Technical and Professional literature, through Seminars, Symposiums, Conferences and Conventions.
  3. To encourage and promote growth, development and to protect the interest of all types of Industry, Trade and Commerce.
  4. To collect and disseminate the information relating to Industry and Commerce, through Books, leaflets, Bulletins and Directory etc.
  5. To maintain Library of publications pertaining to Industry, Commerce, Trade, Finance etc.
  6. To make representations on any matters affecting the Trade, Commerce, Industry etc., to local, state and central government authorities either execu tive or legislative.
  7. To establish, just and equitable principles of Trade, Commerce, and Industry and to become member or to subscribe to any other Association whose objects are similar to those of the Chamber.
  8. To communicate with other Chambers of Commerce, Foreign Consuls, Trade Commissioners and Public Bodies in India or outside India for protection and promotion of Indian Trade, Commerce, Industry, Finance etc.
  9. To act as Arbitrators in references made by any member of the Chamber and to issue Certificate of origin or any other certificate as decided by the Managing Committee.
